Plymouth friends aim to break darts world record

"The current world record stands at 42 hours continuous play, but the these lads have set themselves a target of more than 48 hours".

Two things here. First of all, I'm pretty sure we have had S501 games that lasted longer than 42 hours. That Double-1 doesn't hit itself.

Secondly, what is the record for bi-athlons? Come talk to me when you have played darts AND BOWLED for 48 hours (and mix in some foosball).

RIP Roger Herbert

Everyone on the High Society team is saddened by the passing of Roger Herbert, who ran the NYDO.

Roger was a great man and a singular force. Roger personified darts in New York City, and he did a tremendous amount of work to organize darts for thousands of players in the city.

Most importantly, I credit Roger for creating the forum to make our weekly darts night possible, and gave us a place to go every Tuesday for the past twelve years and hang out together.

He will be missed.
